When: Monday 13th February, 2017
Where: Towton, Tadcaster
Distance: 3 miles

I came across this walk quite a few years ago now and it’s become a regular outing for me and Milo.
You can start the walk either at the Rockingham Arms pub or in the lay-by next to the memorial cross which can be found on the B1217 about half a mile out of the village.
The walk is a circular route and is easy to follow and well sign posted. The majority of the walk is on wide paths which follow along the edge of fields and on a clear day the views can be lovely. There is a portion of road side walking so your dogs will need to be on lead for part of the walk.
Along the way, you will come across large information boards where you can read and learn about the “Battle of Towton”.
I highly recommend visiting the Rockingham Arms pub after you’ve completed this walk. The food is great and they are very dog friendly.
